WASH and Relief

Due to re-emerging droughts,CORD’s prime target is to provide communities with clean water so as to allow them to become resilient to the droughts negative impacts.As a life-saving initiative CORD conducts digging/rehabilitation of shallow wells, boreholes and the construction latrines, water catchments for thousands of people living in far remote areas of Puntland-Somalia whereby water is very scarce.Additionally, people are provided with training on sanitation and hygiene in order to improve their hygienic behavior and to keep their wells clean. CORD also engages in emergency relief activities where the organization raises emergency funds from its partners to carryout relief activities for the poor communities in the country
